We publish definitive critical editions of unrivalled quality, including the flagship Œuvres Complètes de Voltaire (OCV), as well as Oxford University Studies in the Enlightenment, the foremost series devoted to Enlightenment studies across a range of disciplines.

Following on from the finish of OCV in 2022, we are at an exciting turning point for the Voltaire Foundation. Our vision is to become a world-leading, interdisciplinary hub for eighteenth-century studies, and to build world-class expertise in digital publishing and humanities, helping to support young scholars in the area of the Enlightenment.

My ‘practicum’ project has been to map Voltaire’s spatial history and his physical movements throughout Europe. Did his physical environment influence Voltaire’s thoughts and writings and if so, how?

I feel privileged to be able to learn and access training to understand these fascinating historical developments…and see the impact they have had on our current day cultural landscape.

I look forward to continuing my digital humanities research, specifically in applying modern technology to other stories of the 18th century.
