Africa Oxford (AfOx) St Cross Scholarships These scholarships provide opportunities for outstanding students ordinarily resident in Africa, offering full funding for Master’s degrees at Oxford in partnership with the Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) and the Mastercard Foundation. St Cross College Student Hardship Fund The Student Hardship fund is used to support students who come across unexpected financial problems during the course of their studies. Buildings and the St Cross College Environment Gifts to this fund will help us to provide the best possible facilities for all members of St Cross and reduce our carbon footprint. St Cross College Travel and Research Fund Your gift will support current students by providing bursaries to assist them to travel and undertake work connected to their academic studies. St Cross College Thembisa Hope Scholarship Founded by St Cross College Members of Common Room, Tonia Cope Bowley & Stephen Bowley, gifts to this fund will provide support to students studying for a Master’s-level degree who are ordinarily resident in southern Africa. St Cross College Jan-Georg Deutsch Memorial Fund Established in memory of former Fellow Jan-Georg Deutsch, gifts to this fund support students studying African history or global history from an African perspective. St Cross College Duncan Lowne Scholarship Fund Duncan Lowne was a DPhil student who, in 2007, died in his second year as a result of a brain tumour. The scholarship set up in his name is intended to support graduate students in Engineering or Materials experiencing financial difficulties. St Cross Helene La Rue Fund Gifts to this fund will support the provision of scholarships in Music.
