Vincent's Club
To mark the 150th Anniversary of Vincent’s, the Board of the Vincent’s Appeal Trust Company (VATC) undertook a major project – known as V150 – which aimed to give the Club a secure future and a role at the heart of Oxford Sport, befitting its traditions and membership. This Campaign ran for five years, raised over £2m, and substantially delivered on its objectives, which included the refurbishment of the Club premises; an overhaul of the Club’s management and governance; and the broadening of the Club’s mission with the creation of the Vincent’s Awards and the expansion of the Outreach Programme to encourage talented young scholar athletes to apply to Oxford.
The Club cannot stand still, however, and significant challenges remain. These are discussed in greater detail on the Club website at the Vincent's Club Fundraising page.
Vincent’s is following a strategy of “continuous development,” whereby our main priority is to ensure the future of the Club for the long-term through further unrestricted income and both unrestricted and restricted capital donations. The Club is therefore seeking:
- Regular gifts from alumni towards the Club’s annual running costs
- Unrestricted capital donations to strengthen the Club’s financial position and ensure that VATC can secure suitable premises in central Oxford for the long-term
- Raise restricted capital for the Sports Awards Fund. Individuals may continue to endow and name Sports Awards, or donate towards smaller annual awards, but with the passing of Sir Roger Bannister, and in consultation with his family, VATC has set out to raise c. £0.5m to endow two new “big ticket” awards in his name
Ways to Give:
The ideal way to make a recurring annual donation towards the Club’s running costs, or to make a one-off donation by credit/ debit card, is to use the link below.
The Club’s gift forms can be found on the Club website at the Vincent's Club Fundraising page and to make a capital donation, unrestricted or restricted, please use the forms here or contact: bursar@vincents.org.
Some Vincent’s alumni members might consider leaving a legacy to support the Club in its aims.
Please see the giving to the Vincent's Club page for information about legacies.
