Every year, the Bodleian runs a lively programme of public engagement activities to share our collections, research resources and historic spaces with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Your gift will help ensure the Bodleian can continue sharing knowledge and providing rich cultural experiences, whether in-person or online, to foster a more informed and open democratic society.

could fund the mounts and signage required for a small public exhibition in the Weston Library.

could enable us to host one of our popular English Literature Study Days for 60 sixth form students from local state schools.

per month could help us to digitise a 16th century prayer book written in the hand of Elizabeth I that would be accessible from anywhere in the world.

Families have discovered a welcoming space in our Toddleian Library, sparking curiosity from a young age. Our current Oracles, Omens and Answers exhibition has allowed visitors to discover how people have sought answers to life’s big questions throughout history. And our Space for Reading has provided a pop-up library open to everyone as a space to encourage reading.
