Your donation can help provide sanctuary and scholarships for students affected by the crisis.

Since October 2023, the conflict in Gaza and the West Bank has led to the destruction of universities, the suspension of higher education in the region and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people.

As a University of Sanctuary, Oxford is developing programmes to directly help students who are affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

This includes the Palestine Crisis Scholarship Scheme, which will provide sanctuary to students impacted by the conflict through the provision of full graduate scholarships to Oxford.

We are addressing the needs of our current students from the region to ensure they are appropriately supported in their studies at Oxford. Working with partners, we are also identifying how we can provide financial and practical support directly to those on the ground.

Oxford regularly supports academics and students affected by major regional crises. We are now setting up a dedicated crisis scholarship framework that can be applied to future crisis situations as they arise. The situation in Gaza and the West Bank presents a compelling case for the first focus of this approach.
